Echoes, Inc. announces the first annual Spirit Echoes, Inc. Fine Art Festival, an event that promises to bring
collectors and artists together in an indoor, fine art exhibition that will be
unparalleled in the state of Texas.
WHAT: The juried festival will feature
a diverse array of unique hand made items on exhibit and for sale by over 100
quality artisans from Texas and across the United States. Everything from bronze sculptures,
paintings, drawings, pastels,
hand blown glass and ceramics, to contemporary and Native American jewelry,
fetishes, photography and exquisite inlaid wood furniture.
WHEN: July 10th & 11th, 2004
WHERE: The Crockett
Center in Austin, Texas – with air conditioning and free parking. DIRECTIONS:
Take Exit 238A from IH35N near Capital Plaza and turn east at the 2222
Access Rd.
OTHER: Local
bands such as Bo Reynolds, Deb Yager &
The Boys, Buzz Guerra, Karen Abrahams, and The Marbridge Singers will provide
entertainment both days of the festival.
In addition, thirteen artists will be demonstrating their media, and
there will be lots of "hands
on" arts & crafts activities for the children. Donations for children's
activities go to VSA Arts of Texas - assisting artists with disabilities.
A
special treat for the kids at 11:00 Saturday morning will be Comanche/Kiowa
dancer and storyteller, Gordon Tonips.
