Vanessa Lazar has excellent fundraising
and event planning skills. Ms. Lazar raised thousands of dollars on
her time for Save the Children Ethiopian programs, and then traveled to Addis,
Ababa to donate much needed medical supplies.
In addition, she formed her own
Non-Profit Corporation in 2001, Reflections, a Non-Profit
Corporation, whose mission was to educate/motivate teens through
interactive workshops. Ms. Lazar also has had featured articles written
about her workshops for teen in the Chicago Sun-Times, and has facilitated her
"Preventing Teen Pregnancy" workshop to the following organizations:
The Chicago Boys and Girls Club, Maryville Academy, The Chicago Park Districts,
Chicago Homeless Coalition, and the YMCA. Also, she has had featured
articles published about her grass-roots fundraising efforts for
Ms. Lazar also volunteered her time to giving her homeless
testimony for the Chicago Homeless Coalition, and volunteers to feed the
homeless with her son yearly. Her talents in special event planning and
fundraising is an asset, as she assists agencies gain the necessary funds, to
continue delivering their services. In 2005, after relocating to
